Our hearts go out to every family affected by COVID-19, and we will continue to pray for those who have lost loved ones to this deadly virus. Due to the State’s orders and Federal guidelines, the Portuguese Culture & Historical Center will suspend all meetings, until further notice. We may have opportunities for folks to help out in the community, from the safety of their homes. At no point will PCHC promote doing anything which could endanger the lives of our community and our members.
The Portuguese Culture & Historical Center does encourage you to check in on your friends, neighbors and ohana - but from a distance. Sometimes, our kupuna just a need a call to let them know someone cares.
Please, also keep an eye on your health. If you are not feeling well, check in with your doctor or healthcare provider. Do not wait thinking symptoms will get better. This virus is serious. Go here for a list of symptoms from the CDC to be on the look out for.
Also be sure to follow our State’s guidelines and orders.
These are unsettling times and we truly do not know what the future holds. We here at PCHC are confident we will all be able to get through this together. We pray you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy.
God bless and take care.
