2019 Alzheimers's Walk

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is one of the world's largest events to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's care.

It was a great opportunity for members of Portuguese Culture & Historical Center to show our support for the Aloha Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association when we walked on November 9, 2019.

Just as the sun was rising over Magic Island, a group of Portuguese Culture & Historical Center members - aka Team Portugal - started the two mile walk. Obrigado to PCHC members for their pledges and support; Charlotte Rego, Richard & Wilma Boudreau, Beatrice Souza, Larry Cravalho, Greg Perez, Kathy Gressak, Gary & Katherine Monk, Nicole Soares and Kelly Nordstrom.

This family-oriented event draws hundreds of walkers. PCHC was fortunate, a couple of our members were able to take home a few prizes - including a $50 gift certificate and a $500 gift certificate for a Waikiki Hotel stay. Afortunado!
